QBFG's NFL QB-of-the-Week goes to New England's Tom Brady. Brady threw 38/59 for 466 yds, 3 TD's/0 int's (long 40 yds.), as the Patriots went on the road to beat Rex Ryan's Bills 40-32.

Week 3; NCAA QB-of-the-Week

QBFG's NCAA QB-of-the-Week goes to Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield. The junior threw 32/38 for 487 yds, 4 TD's/0 int's (long 61 yds.), as the Sooners beat Tulsa 52-38 in Norman.

Week 3; WIAA QB-of-the-Week

QBFG's Prep QB-of-the-Week goes to Lincoln High Schools Junior quarterback, Joey Sinclair of Tacoma. Sinclair put up some phenomenal numbers; he was 23/34 for 474 yards, 6 TD's/0 int's (long 46 yds.). He also rushed 73 yds. on 8 carries, as the Abe's beat Capital H.S 71-46.

QBFG's NFL QB-of-the-Week goes to San Diego Charger's Philip Rivers. Rivers threw 35/42 for 404 yds, 2 TD's/2 int's, as the Chargers rallied back in the 2nd half to beat the Lions 33-28.

QBFG's Prep QB-of-the-Week goes to one of our own Generals, Interlake's Duncan Varela. Well deserving of this weeks pick, Varela had 476 all purpose yards. He threw 16/25 for 273 yds., 4 TD's/0 int's, and rushed 203 yds. on 17 carries and 1 TD, as the Saints beat Ingraham H.S 41-20.

It's Time to Give BYU's Robert Anae His Due Credit

Being the offensive coordinator for BYU football is not an easy job. The school is steeped in tradition and is best known for putting up Nintendo numbers on offense.

During the LaVell Edwards era, the Cougars frequently ranked near the top in the NCAA in passing yards and scoring. Anyone who dares to be the offensive coordinator at the Y has to face incredibly high expectations, and the Cougar faithful have run a few out of town.

BYU Deja Vu

For the second consecutive week, BYU quarterback Tanner Mangum heaved a Hail Mary pass into the end zone to give the Cougars an upset win, this time against No. 20 Boise State.

The Cougars sealed the contest with a pick-six as time expired to complete the 35-24 victory. The win marked just the second for the Cougars in the six times the two teams have played. The last came in 2013.

Duncan Varela Marches Saints to Home Opener Victory

Coby Akana Leads Totems to Home Opening Win

Congrats to our own Major General, Coby Akana, as he led his JV-C Sammamish Totems to a season opening win. He threw 4/6 for 107 yds. 1 TD/0 Int's (long 81 yds.), as they edged out the Cedarcrest Redwolves 18-13 in their home opener.

EC opened the 2015 season on the road playing Oceanside H.S in the 3rd annual Honor Bowl in San Diego. Kirsch, threw 21/29 for 440 yds, 5 TD's/0 int's as the Crusaders pounded the Pirates 49-13.
